If you know me, you likely know that I have a little c♥ffee thing going on. I usually have a little pick-me-up every afternoon, preferably with lots and lots of ice. That gets expensive if you make a lot of trips through the drive-through, and importantly, you’re not always in control of the “extras” (sugar/fat/etc.) that get added to your beverage.
Here’s a recipe for a Starbucks-like mocha frappuccino, except revved up with some extra protein.
1 cup double-strength coffee, cooled
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder, plus additional cocoa powder for garnish (I like the dutch processed, which is a little milder tasting than regular, more bitter, cocoa powder)
2 scoops chocolate IsLean powder
1/2 cup nonfat milk
Lots of ice cubes. 🙂 (If you are really ambitious, you can freeze the coffee in an ice-cube tray and use that as your ice, but my lifestyle does not lend itself to this sort of thing)
Mix the cocoa and protein powder in the milk, mixing it to as smooth a consistency as you can. Then put that mixture, the coffee, and the ice in a blender and mix it up. Voila!
