I’m fighting off a cold or something, just like almost everyone else I know. It’s been edging up on me since last week, never fully blooming, but I woke up today feeling headachy and icky and was going to take today as a rest day.
Except I didn’t. I started training clients and perked up a little, so I decided to dip my toe in the water of my chest workout. And I got the whole darn thing done! It wasn’t record-setting but I did every rep (my workouts are really high volume right — ugh!), and then practiced posing for about 20 minutes …. and lemme tell ya, there’s nothing like posing practice to help keep you on track.
While I was working out, the UPS delivery guy came with my first shipment of e+ energy shots. It was just like Christmas! I haven’t tried one yet but I did give samples to several of the diehard gym folks and so far the results are pretty great! I am going to try one tomorrow (I didn’t want anything to get in the way of my planned nap for this afternoon).
Right now, diet-friendly buffalo chicken is simmering in the crockpot. The rest of the day is mine, to relax, write, and then plan workouts for my clients for the month of February <evil laugh>.
Crockpot buffalo chicken
3 lbs. chicken breast
1 bottle Frank’s Red Hot Wings Sauce
1 packet of ranch dressing
Chop the chicken breast into chunks. Put everything in the crockpot, stirring to make sure chicken is covered. Cook on high for an hour and then low till you’re done. (I don’t pay attention to time when I cook in the crockpot. I just cook stuff till it’s done, a few hours or so.) Yummy!
